A beautiful example of Florida Green Architecture on Bayshore Road, Sarasota Florida.
Open outdoor living is emphasized by integrating the house with the natural Florida environment. Most of the rooms have “French” glass doors, opening to patios, pools or waterscapes. Upper level rooms open to heavily shaded private decks.

The house is designed to physically open up allowing cross ventilation. Very generous overhangs and roof extensions provide shade to cool the house without the aid of Air-conditioning during some of our pleasant winter months. These overhangs also offer substantial protection to the “skin” or exterior walls, decreasing maintenance costs.
The house is certified by the Florida Green Building Coalition mandating that only sustainable building practices, materials and healthy finishes be used. The most efficient, energy saving appliances and air-conditioning systems are installed. Solar hot water heating, with a recirculating pump is operational. The house has also received the Energy Star for Homes approval indicating that it is 32% more efficient than average base new home.
